Light weight detachable magazine system

After using most of the detachable magazine systems available on the market, we decided to design and build our own with help from SES prototyping. The new magazine system is machined of aluminum for light weight. The system’s magazine will be held inside the bottom metal and be removed by opening the hinged floorplate. This will allow the magazine to be changed quickly and easily, yet it will be protected and snag free in side the stock. The magazine will be .1” longer then others on the market to allow bullets to be left out longer in the magnum cartridges. The clip will hold 3 rounds in the magazine (plus one in chamber) even with the WSM and Remington Ultramag cartridges.

The magazine system will is designed to fit Remington style actions with a few modifications to the action and the stock.

UPDATE- as of Nov 2010 we have several prototype magazines we are putting through field testing. Its been a slow process getting all the bugs worked out, but the magazine system looks promising. As soon as we are ready for production, we will make an announcement on the web site. We are hopeful to get the final iterations done this winter.
